Pathological shark teeth are developmental abnormalities commonly found in the shark tooth fossil record that may be caused by a variety of reasons: genetic mutation, damaged or immature teeth.
Otodus obliquus sp of Shark, an ancient extinct mackerel shark. Otodus is dated to around 54 Million years (Eocene) and normally are collected from Oued Zem, Khouribgan Phosphate mines of Morocco. Tips are not always perfect, but they are still well over average size teeth, some of the biggest you are likely to find. Sometimes size really does matter to a collector!
