This specimen is Kanab Goldenstone, a celebrated form of picture sandstone found along the Utah-Arizona border. Each piece is a geological masterpiece, featuring "Liesegang" banding—intricate, swirling layers of iron oxide that naturally mimic the rolling dunes and fiery sunsets of the high desert.
While the colors and patterns are 100% natural, this stone has been expertly hand-carved and contoured to echo the iconic rock formations of the Colorado Plateau. The rounded edges and integrated "window" are designed by lapidary artists to reflect the wind-sculpted arches and weathered outcrops found in nearby Zion and Arches National Parks.
