Ammonite fossil. Found at Sandsend, near Whitby. Age is around 178 Million years old. Found and Prepared in August 2024.
It is coated with a special fossil varnish to preserve the natural lustre, and keep them free from dust and dirt, from handling. These are the classic British Jurassic Ammonites and have a nice clean centre, with that classic ammonite look.
