Classic fern species on a grey slate material. The ferns are preserved as white compressed matter and make a good contrast. Various species include Alethropteris, Pecopteris etc. They are Upper Carboniferous age (Pennsylvanian) and form part of the coal deposits from the area. They were excavated in St Clair, in Schuylkill Co. Penn. USA.
Most pieces are double sided views so will get to enjoy fossils on both side of the slate.
