Jurassic Lycoptera Wolf-fin fishes from China
Lycoptera davidi, was a fish that lived in the Late Jurassic 157 - 136 Ma mainly around present day China. You may also see it called the Wolf-fin fish. Rebes Formation in the Liaoning Province of China. Flaky shale with perfect preservation of this bony fish species. Some of the fishes have been lightly coated with varnish, as they are difficult to spot, being the same colouration as their matrix.
Export of these fossils has now ceased, so its likely that what you see here is all I will have. Don't miss out on owning one.
